Sirloin Steak, Onion and Peppers Sandwich
Ingredients (1 serving)
  • 1 Brownberry Multicereales® roll
  • 4 oz. strip loin steak, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 large Spanish or Vidalia onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 large bell pepper, thinly sliced (green and/or red peppers)
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

Place steak in freezer for 30 to 45 minutes to make slicing easier.

Heat 1/2 tablespoon olive oil in a large saute pan over high heat. Add onion and season with salt and pepper to taste. Begin cooking onion. When caramelizing begins, as noted by onions starting to turn brown, add in bell pepper slices and saute until warm. Add a tablespoon of water to deglaze pan, and cook onions and peppers for a total of about 15 minutes.

Slice cold steak into thin strips and brush with remaining oil. Heat a griddle pan or large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak about 1 minute per side.

Place several slices of cooked meat on the bottom half of a Sandwich Thins roll; and then, add hot caramelized onions and peppers. Top with the top half of the Sandwich Thins roll.

Orchard Apple, Pear & Cheddar Grilled Cheese
Ingredients (1 serving)
  • 1 Brownberry Trigo con miel® roll
  • 1 slice reduced-fat white cheddar cheese
  • 3 thin slices Granny Smith apple
  • 3 thin slices pear, such as Bosc
  • 1/4 tbsp. butter, room temperature or nonfat canola oil nonstick spray
Directions

Place apple slices on bottom half of the Sandwich Thins roll. Top with cheese, pear slices, and lastly, the top Sandwich Thins roll side.

Place half the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sandwich to the pan and cook until light brown. Spread remaining butter on top of sandwich; and flip to cook and brown on the other side. After the cheese has completely melted, remove from the pan and enjoy!

Note: To lower calories and fat, replace butter with nonfat Canola oil nonstick spray on the pan.

  • 1 Brownberry Linaza y fibra® roll
  • 2 oz. uncooked boneless skinless chicken breast
  • ¼ cup cucumber slices
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 spray cooking spray
Directions

In a mini chopper or food processor, combine basil, cilantro, lime juice, ginger; pulse until smooth.

Ingredients (1 serving)
  • 1 Brownberry 100% Integral® rolls
  • 2 slices eggplant, thinly sliced in rounds
  • 1 tsp. garlic-infused olive oil
  • 1 slice part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 slice beefsteak tomato
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Brush each side of the eggplant slices with garlic-infused olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place eggplant on an outdoor grill over medium-high heat or on an indoor grill pan over high heat, and grill approximately 3 minutes per side, until brown grill marks appear and eggplant softens.

Place grilled eggplant on a rimmed sheet tray and top with mozzarella cheese and tomato. Drizzle a bit of garlic-infused olive oil on top of tomato. Place in the oven for 10 minutes until tomato and cheese are hot. Place the eggplant stack between two toasted Sandwich Thins slices and enjoy!
